When I started this blog, Jay Berkowitz, from The Ten Golden Rules of Internet Marketing, was helping me with it on his podcast. Well, Jay will be one of the speakers along with Twitter famous Chris Brogan, who will be a keynote speaker. As an avid Twitter user, I’m very familiar with both of these gentlemen. They’re both extremely knowledgeable in their fields and I’m sure they will not disappoint you with the amount of information they provide.

As of this writing, there will be 68 speakers. That’s a lot of information to absorb.

I plan on attending the event for the whole three days. I applied for a press pass and was accepted to attend and review any of the sessions that were happening. The Press Pass is great as it gives me full press access to the blogger room, all 3 days of sessions, Meet Market and Exhibit Hall.

During those days, I plan on taking a bunch of photos and video to write about. I already own a DSLR camera and plan on purchasing the Flip UltraHD video camera to record the event. Plus, the Flip is small, light and can easily transfer the video to your notebook computer or YouTube via its flip out USB connector.

I read during previous Affiliate Summit shows that video was not allowed. So, to be sure, I contacted Shawn Collins, the co-founder of Affiliate Summit, via Twitter and he informed me, in his own words, “Neither audio nor video recording of Affiliate Summit sessions are permitted #ASE09.” I also asked him about shooting still photos and this was his reply, “photos are encouraged -  video and audio outside of Affiliate Summit sessions is fine, too.”

So, no sessions are allowed to be recorded, which I can surely understand as many of the speakers may record their own sessions to sell as future products. That’s absoulutely fine by me as I’m not there to copy their programs or teachings. I’ll be there to connect with the people I’ve been chatting with online. I’ll finally be able to put a body to their Twitter avatars.

Of course, learning as much as I can from the speakers and others’ I meet won’t hurt either. I hope to meet you there. If you see me, say hello.

This week we’ll discuss some Fonts that are clean for website design and best of all, FREE. How about 5 of them?

The first that I like is Lois Ann font. This font goes very smoothly from one letter to the next. It has a long and lean design to it that gives it that elegant look.

The Aldo font has the clean but unique horizontal lines that that slant up while the top and bottom of the letters are rounded.

The Eurofurance font has that tall and lean look with the squared off corners. This one has various versions of it and is compressed into a zip file.

The Asenine font is short and fat design. It has the thin, clean lines with smooth, rounded corners. This font also includes multiple variations and is included in a zip file.

The Opticon Font has the very round rounds, and very square squares.

Download them, try them out and enjoy.

For the rest of the comments, I’m actually using Google Translate to read what is being asked or mentioned. What a great free service Google Translate provides. I’m able to read the comments that are written as well as write back in Russian for a reply. The main problem of is that it’s time consuming.

I understand it doesn’t help the US readers when the comments are posted and replied in Russian, but for the time being I don’t have a problem with doing it this way.

On a side note, I noticed that I didn’t write a blog post for the book review I wrote about. There was no tips or techniques blog post last week due to scheduling on my part. I should have one up this weekend.

These tips are for those with the need to track their time spent on a particular online activity. They could be from browsing the Internet, blogging, social networking or just emailing.

These are great time tracking tools to help you keep track of your time spent online.

And, again, as most tools mentioned on this blog, they’re free.

On a side note, upon reading my previous post, I mentioned how Jay and I recorded 2 weeks ago. That isn’t quite true. He posted his podcast about 2 weeks prior to that post. Jay and I actually recorded, probably, a month ago.

Anyway, as I said a few days ago, I hope to be caught up with his requests shortly.

As mentioned yesterday, Jay and I recorded about two weeks ago and his podcast is available at his website and on iTunes, episode 31. I had some scheduling with this website for the last couple of weeks but should be able to catch up with Jay’s requests. I made some of the changes Jay recommended but not all.

The main challenge will be to write the press release and submit it to the press release service. I’ll be honest with you, I don’t know how to write one, but have been reading a lot about it. Also, the sequence Jay instructed me to take was somewhat confusing to me. I may have to wing it or shoot Jay an email to see if I’m doing it correctly.

We’ll see how it goes in the next few days.

Also, due to some scheduling, the Free Resources will be delayed by one day. I appologize for that but it was unavoidable. I should have it up by Tuesday morning. I appreciate your patience.

If you are trying to build surveys, invitations or online forms, then you’ll be happy to find two of the tools included in this weeks’ list. You can use both of these tools, Wufoo and Icebrrg, to perform these tasks.

And finally, if you travel a lot, you can use 280 Slides to show your Powerpoint presentations. If you forget your media stick or the file gets corrupt, no problem. As long as you have an Internet connection, you can display it online.

This will be an ongoing effort from us to post some great resources for you to use. We’ll have these websites, tips and tools posted every week by Monday morning.

We’ll be providing at least 3-5 resources each week for you to test out and review. Most of them will be free but some will have a one time or reoccurring cost to them.

I’m getting a bunch of positive remarks which is encouraging.

Scheduling has been tough between Jay and I but, he did send me a message the other day that will allow us to record another podcast session this weekend.
