Our Thoughts:
The book goes through the teachings of the laws of attraction. For most individuals, the information in the book may sound like a bunch of nonsense. However, even if you take a small portion of what the book has to say, it will add a wealth of information and knowledge that will provide huge strides in your life.
I don’t expect you to believe me in any of the thoughts and suggestions the interviewed professionals have to say in the book, but just give it try. I assure you, with the right mindset, things will change in your life.

The 4-Hour Workweek, Timothy Ferris
Title: The 4-Hour Workweek
Author: Timothy Ferriss

Our Thoughts:
Of all the business and Internet related books I have ever read, this book definitely resonates with me the most. I only really agree with ~40% of what Tim says in the book, but that 40% changed my life. The methods and concepts taught in this book helped me remove myself from my 9-5 job and start a collection of automated businesses. Some readers get caught up in the concept of not wanting to leave their 9-5 job. In my opinion, if you like your job and enjoy what you do there is no need to leave. The beauty of Tim’s idea is that once you setup these automated small businesses (referred to as “muses”) they can operate automatically and generate you additional passive income whether you are traveling the world or working in your 9-5 job. It is really much easier then most people think. Send us an email and we can give you some examples of what has worked for us. -CT

Title: Long Tail, The, Revised and Updated Edition
Author: Chris Anderson
Where to Buy:
Our Thoughts:
This book is an absolute must read for anyone looking to start their own Internet business. This book explains the new economics that come with the Internet age. It eliminates the misconception that big revenue must come from the handful of blockbusters. Chris illustrates this concept through some great examples. As I write this I found that this book was just updated in July 2008. I have not read the updated version, but will definitely in the near future.
Author’s Description:
This book explains how small businesses can be successful using the Internet to sell their products and services. This is because of what the title alludes to, which is ‘The Long Tail.’ The long tail shows how business is no longer concerned with just ‘hits,’ because of the massive interest that niche products can have. This long tail of interest can provide more income than the hits used to because the audience for a retail website is the entire world.

Title: The E-Myth Revisited: Why Most Small Businesses Don’t Work and What to Do About It
Author: Michael Gerber
Where to Buy:
Our Thoughts:
If you have ever thought about starting your own business you need to read this first. My only wish is that I would have read this book sooner. I personally made several of the mistakes identified in this book in my first two businesses. A majority of the content of this book is not rocket science, but it is true. In the book the author puts people in 3 categories: entrepreneurs, managers & technician. Each has their strengths and weakness. After reading the book I finally grasped the understanding that I am an entrepreneur first and foremost. I lack the skills and drive of the manager and the technician and this key fact was seriously hindering my businesses. When I accepted this and made the changes suggested in the book I was happier and my businesses did better. – CT
Authors Description:
The E-Myth, Michael Gerber dispels the myths surrounding starting your own business and shows how commonplace assumptions can get in the way of running a business. He walks you through the steps in the life of a business from entrepreneurial infancy, through adolescent growing pains, to the mature entrepreneurial perspective, the guiding light of all businesses that succeed. He then shows how to apply the lessons of franchising to any business—whether or not it is a franchise. Finally, Gerber draws the vital, often overlooked distinction between working on your business and working in. your business. After you have read The E-Myth Revisited, you will truly be able to grow your business in a predictable and productive way.
